Presented by Baystate Health, Artistic Abilities is a unique and exciting evening community event that showcases the extraordinary talents of visual artists, musicians, and chefs with and without intellectual / developmental disabilities. The event includes live entertainment, refreshments, and a charity auction to benefit Best Buddies Massachusetts.
Art and Music: Accomplished professional artists and musicians will pair up with participants with intellectual/developmental disabilities from Best Buddies, Riverside Arts, and Berkshire Hills Music Academy to create beautiful and inspiring artwork and performance pieces that they will unveil before a live audience.
Making the event even tastier! For the first time ever, local chefs from celebrated Pioneer Valley restaurants, including Paul & Elizabeth’s and Spoleto, will pair up with Best Buddies participants to create and serve delicious appetizers or desserts for the crowd at Artistic Abilities to sample!
Attendees will enjoy delightful fare by Elegant Affairs, sample appetizers and desserts prepared collaboratively by local chefs with Best Buddies participants, have the opportunity to bid on spectacular silent auction items, and support the work of Best Buddies Massachusetts.

- $10 ticket fee will go entirely to Best Buddies Massachusetts to support programs throughout the state.

- If 70 people turn in their tickets from Best Buddies Massachusetts, Best Buddies will share in the proceeds from ticket sales the day of the event.

BBMA is hosting a Local Leadership Conference at MIT in Cambridge. The training will be for high school and college student leaders that were unable to attend Leadership Conference at Indiana University in Bloomington in July. The students that will be attending were individually contacted by their program manager. Included in the day's activities will be sessions to prepare student leaders for the upcoming academic year. Students will learn about Best Buddies as an organization, protocol of running a local chapter, roles and responsibilities of student and advisor roles, fundraising techniques, statewide events, and strategies for good communication skills. Students will partake in small group discussions. The goal of the event is to inspire student leaders and increase their enthusiasm about the Best Buddies mission. Registration is at 9:30am and the training will begin promptly 10:00am.

2nd Annual Best Buddies Midnight Madness Boston, Massachusetts Ye Be Warned! The hottest craze to hit college campuses is coming back to Boston. You and your teammates will embark on a wild scavenger hunt around the city of Boston. At the end of the day, each team will enjoy the night at a concert after party and an awards ceremony. All proceeds will benefit the Best Buddies Massachusetts Friendship Programs.
